Recycle
The following business currently offer recycling programs:
- Wal-mart (639-9600) Car batteries can be recycled in automotive department at no charge. A box for plastic bags is located near front doors.
- Home Depot (699-3555) Recycle rechargeable tool batteries, cell phone batteries and fluorescent light bulbs. Old appliances will be recycled with purchase and delivery of a new appliance.
- Office Depot (699-2980) Recycles computer monitors and printers. Receive $50.00 off a $150.00 dollar printer purchase. Disposal charges based on size of equipment, from $5.00 to $15.00. Also recycles printer ink cartridges. Receive $3.00 on your rewards card for up to five cartridges per day.
- Radio Shack (632-6333) Recycles cell phone and camera batteries. Receive a gift card for recycling working cell phones with a charger. (Amount on gift card depends on type of phone.)
- Best Buy (699-1100) Free recycling of printers, towers (without hard drives) and computer parts. Recycle TV’s and computer monitors 32” or smaller for $10.00 and receive a $10.00 gift card in return. Also free recycling of cell phone batteries, ink cartridges, PDA’s, pagers, and compact discs.
- Habitat for Humanity Restore (936-564-3861) Recycles construction material. Open Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Located at 600 Powers Street in Nacogdoches. The following items must be in usable condition: brick; ceiling tile; ceramic tile; doors; hardware; lumber; paint; porcelain products; shingles; tools; windows and wood
